There are many physical symptoms of fear. For example sweaty palms, difficulty swallowing, nervous shakes, and of course the hairs rising on the back of your neck. Fear can really affect the way you think. Fears simulates your fight or flight reflex and cancels out any real thinking about the situation. Fear can even affect the way you see and hear. Your brain plays tricks on you by changing everyday objects and sounds into something that can jump or startle you.
